Butch: A male homo, but you wouldn't know it in a million years unless you got him alone in the woods with a couple of six-packs. He probably organized and outfitted the hunting party himself. A man's man, but gay. Opposite of Lesbian Butch.

Butch: The lesbian who went with you guys on that hunting party. She was probably the only one who actually killed anything, and bitched at you the whole time for being campy and scaring the quarry away. People in orbit know that she's gay.

Camp: Cult Gayness. Usually refers to movies and shows, such as Hairspray, Psycho Beach Party, The Birdcage and the like. You just have to experience it to understand. Don't be afraid, really. It's just done in fun.

Campy: Being loudly and obnoxiously gay; flamboyant. This is often done to terrify fine, upstanding, ordinary hetero folks. May also be done to profoundly annoy or embarrass your butch friends.

Chicken Hawk: An older gay man who goes for younger guys. Be careful how you use this term, as in some places this means that he goes for jailbait. I might call a man a chicken hawk, but not to his face unless it was clearly a joke.

Family: The homosexual indicator for "gay." You can ask someone if they are family and if they look at you like you're an idiot, chances are they're not gay. Duh.

FagHag: A hetero female with close gay friends. This does not mean that she has no hetero male friends, but that she probably is closest to the gays. This implies a comfort level that average people don't have. (Ditto on next entry.)

FagStag: A hetero male with gay friends. (I love you, Trip.)

Flame/Flamer/Flame Thrower: A gay man who is very feminine in demeanor. Often employed as female impersonators, interior decorators, and window dressers. Not well recieved in the gay community outside of those roles. You damn hypocrites.

Hunk: An attractive, well-built one night stand man.

Meat Rack: A place where you go to cruise for sex, no names required, although you might take your catch home for the night. A specific area in a club where men gather while they cruise for sex.

Mother Superior: An older, experienced male homosexual. He wears a mu-mu around the house and will bake you cookies if you're good. Will also give you a stern talking to if you step out of line; in a way that would make you hang your head in shame. Can be used as an insult or a compilment. (A compliment when referring to MC.)

Queen: An older homo, feminine and probably control-freakish and drama-ridden. A common phrase is "Tired, old Queen."

Twink: An 18 - 25 man with a slight build. Sometimes called "Chicken."

Scene Queen: A homo who panics if he ever loses sight of a Meat Rack or bar.

Stud: A man who is a proficient sex partner with a constant erection.

And, just because PD asked....

Twinks can be hunks and studs but not bears. Bears can be hunks or studs but not twinks. Get it?!?
